Manual tyre changing machine

Manual tyre changing machine

Im looking at these manual tyre-changing machines on trade me.

Has anybody had experience with these for 4x4 wheels? I have seen the you-tube videos. And it looks OK. But as there is only online shops, I can’t go and have a look.

My other option is, a pneumatic tyre machine that a mate has (still with the manual tyre lever, not air operated lever). But then there is an extra cost of a compressor.

Any experiences with these manual tyre machines would be appreciated.

Cheers MIKE

Yup I have one. Have done two sets of 35 inch Simex's on it and also a set of small car tyres..
Once you get the correct technique it works fine, just need elbow grease and body weight.
Also bolt the damn thing to the ground....!!
I cant run the bead removing thing around, the tool is very crude and needs a good grind up to smooth it before use and it tends to unhook.....
So use it more like a tyre lever / iron...
But its cheaper than what the local tyre shop wanted to charge me...

takes a bit longer but a couple of crowbars and some detergent does a good job for changing a tyre. break the bead with a hi-lift under your bull bar
