Hey chaps, now with new family addition, looking at selling my truck.
Its has a fair amount of work done to it before buying it; arb air locker rear, arb bumpers front and rear, front 9000lb winch, arb air compressor, carpets removed, snorkel.
This thing owes me about $2500;
New tires ('32, 11.5), alignment, dings in the rear done professionally, new cv drivers side, central locking fixed, A LOT of tlc.
Great nick all around now.
Initially a "91 Bighorn, 167km, 3.1td
What do you think its worth?
Will welcome reasonable offers/PM.

Re: What am I worth?
from previous dealings things like new CV's etc are not worth listing as that comes under general maintenance anyway...(if they need doing they need doing)
Go find the price of a similar truck that is standard. use that as a base price for the actual vehicle.
then add up all the aftermarket bits you've added on and take off a third if they are good nick or 50% if they been through the bush a few more times then usual..

Re: What am I worth?
if you want to sell the bull bar off seperately and live closeish to auckland i have a factory bumper and bar i could swap with cash your way
then you could sell off the winch as well
you would probably get more for it in parts

Youre quite right sprsta, however, i'm in chch. i'm sure the same could be said about the rear diff, the compressor and the rear bar thats not too obvious in the picture.
Another option i was considering was buying a more recent, lower kms lwb and fitting all the goodies to that. Still considering that one but the need to count some beans before that because the bighorns seem to be going up in price and would like to end up with a more *recent* model.
I havent kept tabs but the majority on TM seem to be going with 200 kms +

I would be doing this ^^^^^^^^ Biggest reqret was selling my SWB Safari years ago with all the goodies on it becasue I replaced it with a LWB Safari and had to start from scratch again and because of this I ended up not doing much and sell it as well.

Agree with FORGE1 - starting from scratch is a pain in the a** - not to mention expensive! Been down the same road (kinda still am lol)
My 2 cents

Re: What am I worth?
Just saved a search on TM to email me about any updates. Hopefully will spot something recent, with low kms then it would be just a case of frankensteining parts from one to the other and then back again.
As far as purchasing a LWB; that stands to debate..
Had a chat with a mechanic who mentioned that apparently the bumper will fit on the lwd but reading wikipedia, the chassis width is 5" wider on the lwd.. then to further complicate things, the diff length will be a head-ache.
Anyone know if the mounting points are the same on both chassis as far as the bumpers go?

Re: What am I worth?
It all depends on which model you get as some 1995+ bighorns are the wide body model and have different size diffs and longer cv shafts. It would be worth just swaping over the diff heads in this instance. In regards to different size chassis that's not true I put a bumper off a lwb onto mine old swb and it fit perfectly. The way you tell the difference is ones with the factory flares are the wider ones and the ones that don't are the narrow ones. Is the mechanical parts that are different not the chassis.

if your after a lwb i have a 96 bighorn plaisir 180k's manual standard condition that i've been using as a daily driver. I'm looking to trade it in on a navara stx or ford ranger etc so would be happy to sell it on for what ever a yard offered me as a trade.

What sort of dosh are you after? PM me if you want to keep it private.
Got any pics?
Needing to check as per the advice above to make sure everything would be swappable.
