Hi guys the jeep here was going great turned it off n now it wont fire at all cranks over great.
so far i have found no power at the coil at all (which wire is the live one from the ing switch).
If i can find out which one i will try a hot wire n c what happens.
The dizy shaft has slop in it (needs new bushes).
All fuses r good apart from that i cant find anything that would stop it getting power to it.

Possible crank sensor failure.

Common Jeep problem. After it has cooled a bit will probably start again.

Are you able to get what code the computer is throwing up. That will help with diagnose, rather than replacing sesnsors randomly. CPS often is the cause. But, try to confirm first.

I got a spare one for mine from www.rockauto.com

Sounds like it, exactly what was happening randomly to my Grand Cherokee. So I replaced it, and got one for TJ just in case for future. Get one from a dealer in USA or from rockauto. Both were cheaper than any local options.

Hey would you have more info on (supercheep $120.oo) what was their part code/ which branch had them in case some one is looking for one. I tried them and they didnt know what one was! Said they did not have these. I paid 150 off trade me for a new one, that the guy paid over 200 for so 120 is awesome price.

I have a spare one sitting beside me that I imported from DiscountJeepParts.com when my one died 5 years ago, bought in 2 at the time just in case. The box is labelled WELLS, part # SU368 replacing 17220.02. Back then it cost me $US76.95 each plus $US40 shipping by USPS. Just checked my bank records and all up it cost me $NZ194.54 so either the exchange rate was excellent or I got a deal for buying 2. Definitely cheaper than buying from Chrysler NZ.
