Sort of what we had coming back from fiji 3-4 weeks ago when that yacht had to be rescued by the navy except we seemed to have a lot more water over the deck and a couple over the roof and 2 or three that nearly knocked us right over  it was a rather interesting few days :?

z Lol Mike but youer yatch is a little bit smaller than a 40 foot pilot boat build for it. but still safe as if you know how.

14 years and Canterbury, 3 years at Sumner.

i have a vid of USCG backing into a 6m surf with there 40ft rescue vessels somewere. thats scary stuff.

This reminds me of the trip we had from Stewart Island fifteen odd years ago. Paul Pascoe in the Mana picked us up from Tikotatahi Bay, he said it was marginal but he would have a look and if it was to rough we would shelter in Port Adventure, well once out through the passage he was committed and there was no turning back,he spent the next five hours hanging on the wheel and playing the throttle like a fiddle player, at times the angles where that steep that the kysor alarms where going off and the Mana was surfing and only seconds from becoming a submarine. We all had a yarn to the man upstairs that day and on arrival at Bluff even Pascoe kissed the wharf. That was my last trip ----- NO, we did it all again the following years and still

GOING,

FITZY.
