Trailer stolen in Wellington

Mate had his trailer stolen from Brooklyn in Wellington last night between 6-10pm.
Trailer has lived on the street outside his house for well over 20 years with a massive chain around the wheels.
He lives on a road with exits past his house so it would seem somebody has done their homework before nicking it.

It is a tandem car trailer with 14" cheviot turbo mags. I will post a photo tonight when I get home as my smart phone is being a smart ass right now and not letting

Faark!!! I live on the same street, wont disclose name or number but he just had it out last weekend from memory?

I thought Brooklyn was a safe area  Will have to get tripple chains onto mine!

Hope he gets it back! a friend who lives just a few doors up from him just had his stolen race car trailer returned so hopefully he has the same luck. (pinched from different part of town and included tow car, trailer and racecar all in one!)

Jesus this countrys getting bad isnt it!? glad the bastards havent moved down this far south yet, only a matter of time.
Trailers are an easy target though, all you have to do is paint it maybe change the wheels and go register it as a 2012 homebuilt. Too easy, you want to make sure there something distinctive about your trailer so you can recognise it when its been taken and painted etc.

my mates one was distinctive, baby blue colour and quite hefty built too, it was narrow and built for his 4x4 drive over wheel style so no real use to anyone unless they have a 4x4

done

the trailer mentioned in the article was recovered at the offenders property at the beginning of november and has been extesively modified to hide any redeeming features that make it recognisable
