Body Lift on 1989 LWB Isuzu Bighorn

Post by billyvanboheman »

Has anyone done a body lift on the UBS55 shape Isuzu Bighorn, I am looking for any info on the best materials to use for the extension blocks as I have yet to find a full kit for my model.
I have a friend who has all the toys in the big shed (lathe, mill, welders, drill press, etc) so no probs to build most anything.
I am looking at going to 33's so don't want to go too extreame on the lift, has anyone else got 33's or bigger on my model that can tell me how far I need to go.
1989 LWB Isuzu Bighorn, Intercooled 4JB1T, Ball Joint flip, Torsion bar wind, 3 inch stainless homebuilt snorkel,1/2 done electric fan mod, front sway bar quick disconnects, 15x8 ROH White Spokes,33x12.5x15 Hankooks.

gidday dude, went up 40mm on my old bighorn, front tires just rubbed on firewall at full lock under brakes. wasnt hard to do, you need to cut the tunnel to suit the gear-levers and loosen the steering shaft. i did have extended shackles on the rear to fix the saggy springs tho. there are sites on the web that have more detailed info so do a search.
