4.5'' Cherokee lift.

Hi guys I have recently brought a 1993 Cherokee with a 4.5'' lift and it still has standard drive shafts, not sure if this will cause me any issues down the track or not has anyone had any problems ?

got pics fella .......thought it would have sye .......whats it drive like , any vibes,,
it may well have a tc drop thats why ya can still run stock drive shafts..

Have you found the info you were looking for?
I am about to throw a 4.5inch lift on mine - and am also worried about those driveshafts.....

google tc drop ,,should be fine

Thank you for the advice Yeti.
I was hoping to get away without dropping the TC case....
As it is - those TC cases hang pretty low on the Cherokees anyway.

I have a 4.5" lift with a drop TC ,i didn't have any problem with it . if you are in CHCH you are welcome to have a look at

kaney put one in his xj when he put his 4.5 in ...took it back out ..was sweet as..
think its about a 1inch drop.........plenty of clearance when running 33s ya wont get caught up on ya tc

Great to know that a tc drop is good enough.

I will try mine without the TC drop - and if it looks marginal - then sacrifice the 1 inch or so...
Busy cutting my fenders at the moment

No worry's... I cut my fender at the back and front ....i did cut too much in the back , i had to weld the metal sheet together

Brother your Cherokee looks mean I like it, tried to post a pic of mine and failed, have you changed the diff ratio for the 33"s ?

my mate brought that kit, driveshafts were good, had steering issues but was sold with drop down brackets for the front arms

Not yet i'm on 3.55 , lost a bit of power but i don't care... looking for a dana 44 or ford 8.8 and move on to 4.56 ...
