In case you have need to fix Jeep Cherokee serpentine belt tensioner bearings i will share some info.
I was replacing the harmonic balancer so checked all pulleys while belt was off to find the tensioner multi ribbed pulley had a noisey bearing so wanted to do this at same time.
The bearing is a 6203-2RS so i thought great press it out and replace it only to find the bearing was actually moulded into the plastic pulley and broke out the back of pulley. You could grind off one plastic retaining edge and refit a bearing with lock tite into it but i decided to try to find a replacement.
A check of the net and manuals i found i could not identify the tensioner pulley at all. I found RHD jap import jeeps are totally different set up for pulleys and belts to USA jeeps and seem to have extra idler pulley so no usa parts or manual info matches and idler pulley parts are not in listings.
Chrysler NZ can only supply the whole tensioner 400 odd bucks. Could not find any on net or calling around but BNT went through their aftermarket pulley listings found an exact universal replacement, job done. All running smoothly. New one is steel and bearing is replaceable.
The jap import jeep has a serpentine belt that is a mongrel to refit the trick being wind it over all pulleys including the tensioner leave alternator pulley to last and slip it on to this when the tensioner is rotated fully on its spring and let it all spring tight.
