Body found in burnt out car at Ashley River

Police are asking for information especially from 4wders who have been around there in the last week or so.

If anyone has any info & they want to give it anonymously can contact crime stoppers 0800 555 111 ..would be great if the 4wd community could help with this if possible ...then coppers might help us with the 4wd thefts down here in chch.

I was out there with my brother and i was the one that found the body which put an abrupt end to our four wheel driving, couldnt believe it was a person until i saw a necklace on what was left of the neck there was no head attached,it appeared to be on the stomach area of the skeleton,also had two broken femers above the knees,very suspicious looking?I rang the cops straight away and they were on the scene within 20mins.found it about 11;30am and the cops had us giving statements,drawing pictures of the scene etc,lots of police and detectives and forensics people out there,we got released about 4;30pm,they took our shoes and took pictures of us and our trucks and tyres etc
Its going to take me a while to get over the whole thing but i plan to go out to the area again soon to complete our trip

Hope they manage to identify the body. Too close to home for my liking.

Remember they may not have I.D'd the body and haven't notified any next of kin so its a bit shit to be goin into details on a public forum.

lex do you still have the number.
it will hit you later somewere around 3 - 6 months thats when you need to call them.
Been there done that twice now.
