Stock 2002 1600cc GV, and I'm wanting to give it a better sound, any done this and have a recommended setup ?
I'd like to make it sound better, but nothing too outrageous. I was thinking just a rear muffler replacement should be ok.

I would put some extractors on to start with, maybe talk to an exhaust shop as they would probably have a bit of an idea.

ya could buy one of those fake exhausts from the states, then make it sound like a ferrari or similar
or extractors and a bigger pipe, maybe a coby aswell.

I've done extractors and replaced the cat with a resonator and left the standard muffler on my 02 gv. Gave it a nicer sound on acceleration and still cruises quietly

Iv basically got the same in my escudo, cody extractors, 2inch piping and a oval shaped muffler from chase. To me this sounds wicked, nice deep quality sound, but not loud. before using the muffler from chase it had all the above but sounded like a tinny honda. $90 trade price from chase...
