Gidday all. As per the title I am on the hunt for some oil for the sc12(?) on our 4agze toy.
Can get some from our local toyota dealer and they want $60 per 50mls. As we need 130mls its rather expensive!! It works out over a $1 per ml!!
Is there anywere else that might sell it or is there another option we can use?
Have tried appco and bnt but neither have any knowledge or listing for it.

After a quick google search found some info that you can use fully synthetic 90w oil but am unsure if its true or not.Am hoping someone might actually have some experiance on this.

Any help on this would be hugely appreciated
Cheers
Mike

Hi Mike,
When I had my levin gtz I was told to and used syntrax? 90 gearbox oil I had it 7 years with no issues.
Its a prick to get in I found a syringe works best
Watch for the pulleys loosening I went through two chargers due to this
Thanks Stu

Use Castrol SLX 5W30 engine oil.
That is what Castrol has advise us to use in our workshop (Toyota dealership)

Yep, no idea why toyota specified such a silly oil (and price) for the superchargers, it is nothing but a basic helical spur gear (same as what is in a manual trans) Pretty much any engine/gearbox oil will work fine.

Holden also do an oil for the eaton superchargers on the commondogs, And its heaps cheaper and comes in a larger quantity

Turbo wise ive Had excellent results with masterpower t28's, and rx7 ht18- t3 hybrids
