3-4" Suspension Lift - Nissan Safari GQ

Post by XJCrawler »

Afternoon ORE.

Does anyone know what would need to be replaced/modified if putting a 4 inch spring lift and shocks onto a GQ Safari - and also is cert required if it's off the shelf components?

for a 4inch lift you will need longer shocks to suit,adjustable/longer panard rods front and rear as your diffs will be sitting to one side, some form of caster correction(radius arm bushes or drop boxes, i'd go drop boxes for a 4inch lift)extended brake hoses(put rear in front and buy extended for rear)extend diff breathers, your pinion angle will be out and you will get driveline vibration, so you will need either gearbox spacers or longer/adjustable rear control arms,i think thats it,oh and anything over a 50mm lift will need a cert.
