turbo would be better.
fuel wise theres very little dufference but it does depend on how you drive it.
tho people do like the non turbo as there is less to go wrong.

I can get over 700km to a tank 2.7 turbo, I think thats pretty good going, I dont push it but I could imagine a non turbo would be frustrating to drive any distance in and id say you would have to forget about towing anything

X2, my old man has a turbo'd Navara, it goes fine on the flat, but it doesn't like hills much, so I would hate to drive a non-turbo. :(

as navaras never came out turbo'ed till the zd30, that could well be down to the setup the person as done to it.

i would expect that on a good one. 10-12 L/100 i would think would be about right. but driving style etc makes big difference.

I had a 2001 D22 2wd Narvara 2.7 non turbo and i got 700+ ks per 75 litres it wasnt bad do drive as long as you didnt need to pass on anything on a slight up hill and when i was towing the SJ round it was down to 2nd gear and about 35 kph by the top of any hill. Now i have a 2004 D22 with the Yd25dti and im never going back to non turbo
