Kia ora from Kaiapoi

Post by REMIHANAE »

Hi ORE, thanks for all your useful info. I have a 1992 manual Nissan Safari GQ w 3" lift on 33s. Looking at getting a snorkel and installing over Xmas. I've read the forum on the Offroader snorkels on TradeMe which seem pretty good overall for the money. Does anyone know the cross sectional area / equivalent diameter of these snorkel tubes? My other option is a 2nd hand mild steel welded job but obviously it is not as streamlined a fit as the moulded plastic. I'm not sure how far it can stick out the side before it causes WOF issues also. Any info or advice would be appreciated.
Thanks ORE, looking forward to following ya.

Personally I would go for a steel snorkel as they are much stronger and won't break if they get whacked by a tree branch or something.
