D21 Terrano Torsion Bar Lift?

Hi Guys
I have installed 2" lift springs in the rear of my truck and have re-indexed and cranked up the torsion bars in the front to suit. But now that the front is even with the rear, there is now no gap in the upper bumpstops, obviously resulting in a horrible ride and no suspension travel.
Is there anyway I can keep the ride height, and get some gap between the bumpstops again? Or is my only option to wind the torsion bars back down?
Thanks in advance
Leon

Theres some great info here on ORE and also around the web, your issue has been covered here a few times
The consensus seems to be that about just less than a finger between the bumpstop and control arm is the max you should go, this equates to 2-2.5" above factory ride height.
The upper balljoint, cv and steering tie rods will already be at pretty harsh angles, and anymore than that and the bumpstops will eventually get spat out, it will be impossible to align.
Of course there are mods you can do to address these issues and make the D21 front end damn tough when lifted, so long as you dont go crazy on tyre size.
Apparently new coil springs are very stiff and take a while to settle down to proper height, so it may be riding too high, somebody may advise here.

I can flick some photos up tomorrow

The springs have been in for a couple of months now, and have already been for a decent drive to settle the torsion bars in- not that its hard to do here in chch with the bumpy roads lol
Im running 31x10.5x15 tyres so nothing too crazy
Looks like ill be winding them down tomorrow by the sounds of it

Its weird though because with 2" lift coils, and a little bit of torsion crank, you should be well within specs.
31x10.5s were a factory option, so you're good to go there. They will happily accept 33x10.5s with no lift or cutting too.
Apparently the WD21 was setup from the factory to sit slightly lower in the front, for handling purposes.

Mmmm so thats as it sits currently? ie control arms touching bumpstops? Yeah you might be right...
Perhaps tomorrow you should wind the torsions down .5-.75" and take another side on photo.
Heres my first WD21 in ChCh about 5 years ago before I knew anything about independent suspension. Factory rear springs, torsions maxed out, I didn't even realise but the bumpstops had already been spat out. See how its sitting too high.
So mechanically a complete mess, but I learnt a lot of things.
