Toyota 80 Series mods.

Post by petefj40 »

Hi fellow ORE folk.
I've had a couple of mods done on my 80. Happy with how things are going so far. But I've come to a bit of problem. And that is, I'm trying to find another front bull bar design that's better than the one I already have on the truck. The reason I don't like the current one is, once I install a winch the bull work makes it hard to maintain or get at the winch. I'd like it more exposed.
If you've seen a design or have any thoughts on it I'd like to hear your feedback.
Also. I'll be selling the current one next month. So if you're interested just give me a pm. And no, it's not selling for nicks. I'll want to get what ever is a fair price.

I've had a little bit of a look online.
This one didn't look too bad.

This is my current bar.

This is how the rear is looking after Tom worked his magic.
I'd like a simular look on the front. But it has to be practical more than anything.

Cheers,
Pete.

It's the best I've seen so far Tom but doesn't have as much protection as the one already on.
skid recons he's saved some images of 80 series front bars on a memory stick somewhere. I'd like to see em.

By the way. The front bar on my truck at present is an alloy bar in and good condition. I've had a couple of pm's interested in it.
Does anyone know what it's worth if I was to trade it on tardme?

Cheers.

Same.
A bit more protection around the lights would be good though.

only worth a couple a hundie and maybe a bottle of Jack's finest. Tell ya what, to save the hassle of listing it on tardme, I will give ya that and even throw in another bottle as well

Cheers.

I don't drink Jack Daniels Mark but thanks anyway.
I'm sure you'll agree, it's a good looking bar!
A couple of hundie?

This guy is asking $380 for his bar off a 99 Surf.

I think I'll throw mine up on Tardme for a $1 reserve and see what happens. :D
