Torsion bar wind

Post by BLUEL200 »

hi all,
have a couple of noobish questions , any help would be appreciated.

I have a 94 L200 and the ass all up in the air look is getting to me.
Im gonna give the bars a crank and am wanting to know how far I can go before I start breaking things etc.
Id be happy with an inch just to bring it a bit closer to level obviously Ill do it before it goes in for an alignment.
Is it just a matter of loosening lock nuts and winding bolts in?
Also what size gap would be recommended to keep between the bump stops? will shave them a bit if needed.

Cheers all.

shouldn't need to shave bump stops, just wind them up to your desired hight as you said. and you'll be away... just dont go up 3"s thats when cv joinst start breaking. 1" should be all good

you want about a 10mm min gap from the bump stop.
