hey all just wondering what the pros and cons of doing this are? a friend of mine did it to his with second hand springs giving him a 2" lift which is what I am looking at. I know not to use new ones as they will lift 4" but any other thoughts would be great.

If you only want 2" then why not just get some 2" coils to suit a 130?
The 80 series work well but really max out the standard rear suspension. For example the top drivers link arm clips the seam on the fuel tank and will bend the arm.

80 series springs can be a lot more than a 2' lift. all depends on how much they have sagged.

you will need some longer shocks as well. or you will be maxing out your standard ones.
Just do it munta. then come down here and you can test them out on the farm, i know a few fun spots. haha.

To be honest i would just buy 130 lifted springs. Trying to find a set of 80 ones that have sagged enough and still have some stiffness in them can be hit and miss. You could go through a few sets before you find what you want. I had that trouble with mine sagging and causing all sorts of problems. I do have a lot more lift than most people with surfs and have had to go for a lifted 80 series spring to get it level but in my opinion for the $160-$250 bucks you will pay (depending if you can get trade) get a new set.
