Not sure if it's exactly the same, but I got a "cheapo" from TM, and while it does work, it rattles, and has a lot of up/down play in it.

Thanks Dave - hmmm not sure if I can sacrifice a rattle in a safari to save a bit of tape holding the window up

Was yours an electric one?

Yeah, electric, although I would hope mine was from a bad batch, so may risk buying another to see if it's any better

Safari window regulator
