Front trackbar alignment

Guys,

I think i've done pretty well with my first mechanical adventure.

Installed my lift, fitted 33' Muds, been and played twice, and it stayed together... :D :D :D

Anyway, i have an adjustable front trackbar, after a lot of effort getting the right one sent from the supplier, third time lucky, i received it last night.

I was thinking i must be getting better at this as i got it installed in about an hour.

But from being about 15mm out to the right with the stock, its now about 15mm out to the left with the adjustable.
So i will be re-working it tonight.

Are there any tricks you guys use to make sure it centered...?
I hardly want to take it for an alignment, find out it wrong, and have to re do it... and then re align...

I plan on shortening it about 8mm tonight, but if there are any tricks you guys use to measure/center the axle, i would be much appreciative of the advice.

Cheers

P.s. '99 TJ Wrangler...

if youve got some rims without tyres it may be easier to get it right.

its all about measing and measuring....

??? rims only count for wheel alignment, not centering the diff.

Just measure hub to hub, find centre on diff assembly. Measure between one side of the body to the other, find centre (somewhere on front skid from memory, offset slightly to one side).... adjust the track bar until the two meet.
