Try Shane Stevenson from down south.
He makes special trips to Christchurch every week, Monday to Tuesday.

He has access to a few work sites around Christchurch.
Best bet just to give him a ring.
Tell him how you heard of him.

I didn't want to bring this up.
But I only started this thread to inform others that weren't in the know and to give us people in Christchurch more choice. That's all.

I think it's very important, in a public forum not to mention any other people that Certify vehicles in Christchurch other than Shane at this point.

Thanks.
Pete.

I should mention. Shane isn't qualified to cert "scratch builds" or real major work. Even trikes and the like still have to go through the only guy that's doing them in Chch right now. But that may change by mid march. :D
It's still worth giving Shane a call all the same.

Pete.

Agree definitely..nice guy, he took photo's of everything, I showed him what I had done since the previous certification and he was more than happy with the set up. Now fully legal again.

Cheers Pete for the very timely thread!!

Can anyone confirm that number listed for Shane is correct please, I have tried and tried to ring it but get no answer. Or is there any other certifiers in Chch that are 4wd friendly?
Ok people, move along. Nothing to see here. Thank you, move along.

i used don hoff. because shane is not ticketed for heavy modification. my experience with don was excellent, don't believe the stories about don being anti 4x4. he is hard and won't pass doggy engineering. but ya can sleep at night knowing ya truck is spot on. also a fan of landrovers. to be fair my first choice was wayne because he certed my navara, and had some funny as hell stories, its a real shame what happened to wayne i hope he win the court proceeding and is reimbursed his losses.

Shane is on 027 518 0069.
Still in ChCh Mondays and Tuesdays, Mine was a recert for added extras since the original cert. I picked up my recert plate from him 2-3 weeks ago. He recerted everything and I mean EVERYTHING. And as per latest lvvta requirements took photo's of everything. It all got sent off to the powers that be. He can't do steering mods like it says at the start of this thread
but until Wayne comes back then IMO Shane is the man.

So he can't do a power steering conversion using a bolt in kit? I see he can do categories 1A 1B 1C on the category list that include bolt in steering mods?

Read petefj40's post on page 1. - (15th January).
Maybe I used wrong words I dunno, he may be able to do steering mods but not 'scratch builds or real major work'.

Phone the guy and ask him.
