Marshalls needed in Masterton - 24th Feb

Windy City Offroaders are hosting round 5 of the National Trials Series on February 24 at Kiriwhakapapa Road just north of Masterton.
We are desperate for volunteers to help with marshalling on this date. It would be great if you could help us with this. We are running a no frills trial, so there will be little to no public there watching, only the locals who hear about it through the community.
If you have had experience before then you will be fine, if you have no experience then I'm sure we can give you a crash course and you will be fine.
All you need to bring is yourself and some food and lots of water and sunscreen.
Your assistance would be greatly appreciated. You will need to be there all day from 7.30am till approx 5-6pm.
There is camping available across the road at one of our members farms, where a few of the competitors will also be camping.
If you can help out then please let me know if you will be able to make it via email or PM or txt or ring.
Thanks heaps in advance.

Its not really my barrow to push but I'll give it a shove coz I think it needs a bit of pushing, we all get a lot out of 4wding and all benefit from the efforts of the wider 4wd community so giving up a day to do a bit of marshalling is an easy way of giving something back and at the same time getting to see some of the top level national competitors fight it out in their $100k trucks and do shit that you'd think is never possible

, Skid and the rest of windy city offroaders and whoever else is helping set up the event have already got enough on their hands without having to spend time chasing up and pleading for marshalls so if you're concidering it or havent concidered it nows a good time to make some time to stick your name down, if you havent marshalled before the general rule of thumb is they stick you with someone experienced to assist them so you dont (or shouldnt

) get thrown in the deep end out of your depth on your own and if you have or are putting your name down bring a mate along with you to give you a hand on the hazzard(s) you get..... and if everyone puts their names down there might be too many marshalls and you might get lucky and just get to watch for the day

BUMP
getting desperate now
trials normally consist of 30 hazards, 15 in the morning and another 15 in the afternoon
at this stage I only have 14 confirmed marshall and considering most hazards require at tleast 2 marshalls, I am quite in the shite right now
if you can spare a day to help that would be bloody awesome
please confirm asap
thanks

Just a thought , we used the local Lions club once , they charged a bit tho from memory, but I did approach the Pahiatua fire brigade for marshals one year and they seemed keen to step up for a small donation to the brigade, you could maybe see if Masterton fire brigade would do the same ??? Maybe offer assistance with a training night in the future where you transport them to somewhere off the beaten track to fight a mock fire , they love that shit, also just an idea.
cheers
Greg

probably a dumb self explanatory question but I'll ask anyway is the trial site easy to find and signposted on Kiriwhakapapa Road and are we meeting at the trial site or the campsite on the other side of the road

if you drive up kiriwhakapapa rd for about 4
kms it changes to gravel .When this happens put your foot down and skid everywhere ( jokes ) .Camping site is first driveway on right ( approx 5-600 mtrs ) public parking is first driveway on left ( approx 400 mtrs ) rally /pits entrance second driveway on left ( approx 500mtrs ) .There will be a 4x4 sign on the gravel rd .More than welcome to come over saturday and camp .Will talk to farm owner about possable tickitour of farm for sat arvo if numbers staying are up cheers sig
