KZN130 Surf Removing standard flares

As per title has anyone done this? And if so, can anyone provide pics of after and if it is just a case of unscrewing the screws and drilling out the rivets. And are they easily screwed back on forgetting about the rivets? My truck is also 2-tone and I am unsure if the bottom silver will follow along the wheel arch like the non-flare models do.
