Suzuki Flat Deck Mod ?

Hey guys. Looking for a Suzuki to use as a run around on the road (town and back, occasionally longer distance) and also to be used on the farm.. not real messy just up and down the races checking cows etc.

I've been wondering how much it might set me back to change something like:

And put a flat deck on it, something like this:

Any ideas what it might cost and who I should talk to? (preferably from the Waikato, but would consider Bay of Plenty, Auckland, Taupo..)

Dan said he's not really into that sort of work. Know anyone else I could try?

Yep they come up on Trademe often, They get converted by Suzuki in NZ so Im told. Theres a few companys around that do Ute conversions if you cant find a flatdeck Jimny. Personally Id wait and pickup a Flatdeck Jimny over them escudos. Probably end up cheaper too.

Give this guy a call http://www.uteconversions.com/ if you have no luck up north. Most people will do it, but at a cost. Tony has done over 50 suzuki's alone. He can either source you a vehicle and do it/ship it up or collect one sent down.

I just gotta say it, there the worst looking ute chops Ive seen. Cuts them straight down, sabersaw? and just welds a bit of panel straight on the back. Grind up the welds and flick a bit of laqcuer over it. Ive had to tidy up heaps of his suzukis for Wofs. But if thats what people are after thats cool. Just giving my 5c.

Please show us some pics of your efforts at a quality ute conversion then.

In all fairness they may not be the best looking utes, but people keep buying them so i cant see whats wrong with them.

They also take less time to make and include certification.

considering its mostly farmers that buy them whats the problem? they get exactly what they pay for.

Hes also the one that did all the work on my truck, think he did an awesome job on that, certainly had a few problems along the way in terms of finding parts and being told the wrong information, but he certainly knows his stuff.

also can i point out the amount of deck space lost, and the fact that these are done on suzuki's not square landcruisers that dont have odd angles to join back up?

and for one im going to stick up for zukmeista, your the one baggin someone elses hard work on a public forum. He is merely sticking up for someone.

i think enough has been said now, if you want to discuss this matter further we can start another thread and stop cloggin up this thread. they merely asked where they can get them done, its up to them in the end.

Just cause you have made some mistakes doesnt mean everything you say is wrong.
