shorten chassis /cruiser information

Afternooon,I want to cut and shorten a chassis on 2007 -70 series cruiser cab /chassis ute. Does some one have a copy of the details on how to do this ?also is a welding ticket required?. Cheers :) :)

talk to your local LVVTA chap
i would guess the ticket would need to be similar to H/T requirements of as/nzs 2980/2007

If you are doing it for your self .no welding ticket is required.and you can do it with a low volume cert.

talk to lvvta chap first as you are talking about cutting and welding the chassis
best to be safe

Thanks for the replies,is there a standard spec for the joint as in fish plates both sides or just one side ,special shape of plate etc. Cheers all. :shock: :shock:

best to get all the info and possibly get on the right side of the cert guy, before you go chopping up the chassis only to find you should have done it differently :wink: :wink:
