Hey guys, well fuel consumption isn't my main concern.
also youll probably end up using more fuel in 2wd anyway as you have to push the vehicle harder to get it through places
bang on with that one mike
take a spade
yup I've been meaning to put that in the truck, would've come in very handy today.
Mullet give me a yell anytime ya wanna go out, IM usually keen ay.
thanks for the offer elmo, I might take you up on that sometime. I'm sure the mate I took out 4wding today would've liked another truck to pull us out.
If ya wanna go out, post it on the forum, I'm sure a few might want to come along
yeh that is a good idea.....But. I'm a complete 4wdn newbie, not a trip leader, plus I don't know about you guys but I do a fair bit of impromptu 4wdn,.......driving home.......hmmm, river.......don't mind if i do.
Ive got a winch but would rather still go out with at least one other vehicle, better in numbers I always say
Yep that's a good idea and if I plan a daytrip I do normally do that, but again it comes back to my love of that freedom 4wdn gives you. town...river....tarmac.....river......mud.....home
If I were you, Id have them locked in when out by yourself. And just select 4wd from inside.
this definetly would have saved a brown trouser moment today.
Thanks for all the advice guys and from now on I will be locking the hubs at the start of the trail.
I have learned aaallot today.
I really need lockers, 33's, hand winch, radio, gps...etc. etc. etc.
The more capable the truck is the less likely I am to get stuck when wheeling solo.
