Ok how long has ORE been blocking Google ???

Google is in my links and several sites block it when I select it from there site , so I just click home ( ORE ) and then select it . Not anymore .

Why the change . I will have to toss ORE as the home page if it stays like this .

? huh... I don't know either. If its just a link, then maybe you need to change it as the sites moved.

Ok . If you go to the google site you can download shortcut to place in your links . If you select the link a small screen apears with just the search text area , you can search and it will then bring up the whole screen . Thus not having to go to the main site etc . Also if you highlight text and then click the link it automaticaly searches the highlighted text .

Over the last six months or so more and more sites are blocking this pop up ( so to speak ) , ie yahoo , xtra etc . Well now so does ORE . Grrrr .

Make sense .

I'm using Safari and have no problems there is even the option of having a google search box at the top of the window.
Mind you, I am using an Imac

still not sure what you mean as I've never done or used anything like this. If its a window that pops up sure your pop up blocker is not stopping it? if so just add ore to list of sites to allow popups for. I've done nothing on the site side of things to stop what ever your talking about....strange

Hi
Cut and paste the folowing into the browser and it will show you what comes up . ( When you are not on ORE )

javascript:q=(document.frames.length?'':document.selection.createRange().text);for(i=0;i<document.frames.length;i++){q=document.frames[i].document.selection.createRange().text;if(q!='')break;}if(q=='')void(q=prompt('Enter text to search using Google. You can also highlight a word on this web page before clicking Google Search.',''));if(q)location.href='http://www.google.com/search?client=googlet&q='+escape(q)

It is not my blocker as it works on some sites and not others . NZherald , yahoo etc no go . Xtra ok and most other sites but becoming more and more dificult to use .

Guess I will just have to live with it .

When did it stop working? just a couple of days ago? Could be when I put the google ads up as they talk to mr google using javascript as well. Probably doesnt like both of them coming from the same site or something stupid like that, other than that nothing has changed.

Disabled the offending block, it was the search on the main page.

Try that.
