has anyone built or looked into building a roof console for a hilux?

I'm in the process of making one for a cruiser, pretty easy.

Just get some card board make it with that first, then use it as a template on some ply.

The only thing I cant find is some elastic netting to cover the open storage compartment.

yea im thinking of making it so that the cb mounts up the front then the rest is a lockable compartment to hold fishing rods and rifles so htey dont get knockd

Yep. I have a ctr roof console that I made that holds the CB, PRS and stereo and both mics.

made one for the zuk with lectrics and radio in it with a small shelfy thing that nothing has fallen out of yet
