Ln65 Hilux gearbox options

Post by slognad »

I've blown up my G52 gear box in my LN65 and i'm wondering if anyone knows what gearboxes will line up to my 3L (was a 2l). Like the R151f etc, if it wont bolt up why not?

Cheers

I've put a r150 out of a 2lt surf into my ln106,I had to use the crossmember from the surf and it bolted right up,I had to file out driveshaft flanges a fraction to get them to line up, transfer case is electric I had wired Myne up but I've gone through 3 electric motors already so I'm going to have to change that.

W56 out of an LN61 Surf will also bolt up. But the hole in the trans tunnel for gear levers needs 30mm taken off the back to allow the transfer case lever to work. No electric on a W56 either
W56 is supposed to be stronger than a G52, but not as strong as an R series box
