Suzuki Escudo starter motor Problem

I have just changed a motor in a suzuki escudo 93 and I am having a problem getting the starter motor to work I have a positive wire from the battery the ignition switch and the solenoid cable. I have tried multiple ways but I don't want to break it. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to hook it up? thanks.
If you don't succeed. Try again with "more revs".
