Thanks Mikel, but no, the quality of the components you use and your workmanship exceeds my efforts by miles. My rig was only really intended to be an experimental test bed for ideas that if successful would be applied to a second rig that never eventuated.
Because of my fear of having to abandon an uncompleted project,and because it was my only transport and a daily driver at the time(1978ish) I did the conversion piecemeal without taking the rig out of service for any longer than 48 hours(week ends). Whenever I look at the remains decaying in the bottom paddock the poor workmanship really shows. I might have to dig a hole and bury it
