Well I can answer this, I replaced my inner C.V boot on drivers side, was a bit of a mission but got it done.

Well it is rather straight forward to a certain point.
Tools you need are spanners, hammer soft and normal. No special tools are required that I can remember.

Also which C.V boot do you need to replace? If they are the outer one's then these will be done quick than the inner ones as you need to drop the front diff to be able to get the inner one's out.

Well I will give you a brief step by step of what I did.
(This procedure is for the Driver Side Inner C.V Boot)

1-Jack up front and remove wheel depending on which side the ripped C.V Boot is on, slacking the tension on the torsion bar.

2-Dissasemble the hub to get to the Circlip that holds C.V inplace, remove circlip. Then undo the bolts that hold the top Ball joint to the top A arm this will give you room to slip out the C.V, then undo clip that holds boot on the slip boot off, then inside is four ball bearings in a cage this can easliy come out you have to unclip the round wire thing that holds it in and to stop it from pushing out.

3- Remove the four bolts that hold the front diff to the Chassie and keep diff on jack for support. Then you can undo the four bolts for the brackets on the diff this holds the inner C.V in the diff head one is Short (Drivers side) and the other is Long (Passenger side) once these are undone the whole unit can be taken out togeather to be worked on This is the bracket that connects to the diff the inner C.V the outer C.V.

Well this is what I did I have left some bits out but you get the jist of it. Also it depends on which C.V boot it is too but everything above is relevant.

RTV?, not endorsing this for a full time fix but then you can do it properly...

I once failed a VT.... wof for a leaky PS - went home the next day wiped it all down cleaned it up and raced back for a retest, the dude that retested it told me I made a good job fixin it.

Prob got failed the first time for a slow leak over 5 years that I owned it  as never had any more trouble until it got stolen

the way i do mine is undo inner boot, pull the boot back, get a small screw driver and just inside the inner cv cup is a wire circlip use the screw driver to the remove the wire, then pull the inner cv out of the cup, and obviously have the hub disassembled and the outter cv already out of the hub, the whole half shaft will be free. thats it no need to undo diff bolts or brackets or anything
needs more curry
