Nah that looks way to standard so its time for some wax mods.
First of all it got the terrano brakes and sway bar.
Also the 2wd steering and steering box instead of idler.
OK so thats all done

Well that turned it into a train. it didnt want to go around corners
So today I did a body lift on the cab of the truck. I will do the back this weekend.
The snorkel is going and I hve the terrano guards all painted up and ready to go on. Then qd32 turbo big gearbox.
I have pathfinder door for it to give it full size windows as they look heaps better

Nice Wax, very nice. I have only seen a handfull of these here in NZ and thought they would make a nice "Truck" with a mod or two

Any reason you are not going for the full QD swap?
Ok people, move along. Nothing to see here. Thank you, move along.

It has a n/a td27 in it now with a full 56kw. I have a spare td27 turbo engine and I also have a spare qd32 engine.
It just made sense to put the bigger engine into the truck and enjoy the power and torque

Very cool, crewcabs look the business, plus the added bonus of 'factory' bodylift.

If you plan on keeping the standard ca48 arse, I recommend using readline oil, especially with your planned extra horsepower. I wore two c&p's out until I started using it, still going strong.

Ok thanks for that. Is the stock one that weak ??

I would love to put the coil rear end in it but its just way to much work to be bothered doing. That way I could use the 4.6 diff as well as disc rear end.

I will be doing an oil change very soon to fix that issue

would it be that hard to mod the coil sprung diff into a leaf sprung axle?

Most likely not. If was going to do it I would rather put the entire coil spring rear end in the truck. Now that would be awesome.
Just finished putting some clear on the gaurds, one of the doors is painted and needs clear on it while the other has yet to be stripped and painted.
I love the pathfinder doors with the full glass versus the 1/4 windows.

You have to get the early pathfinder door trims as these are manual windows with full length glass. Other wise you end up with a weird door trim.

Pictures up later

Well I was driving around with out a bull bar and was a tad concerned about what the police might think if they saw it. So any way I fitted my new bar it needs a bit of modification to get the extra inch into it but im pretty happy.

The snorkel is going and I have most of the front panels painted except the drivers door and the bonnet. I will then do the rear doors , tray and roof. Pretty much all done then.

Sweet, will be interested to see how you mod the bumper mounts to compensate for bodylift, I am trying to work out something similar.

Its quite easy on this one. You just have to cut and shut the bracket behind the bar. I will do it next week I just wanted to get it on so it didnt draw to much attention from the police

not too hard, if you can cut straight and weld good, just cut the brackets before where it goes through the body, lift up the same amount as you have bodylifted it, tac together and test.

if you want a photo just give me a pm and ill sort one out.

Thx but was more thinking about wax's TJM/Aussie bumper as I have one similar, thinking about mounting directly to the frame through the bumper slots instead of the big long mounts they come with. Not thinking about a winch here.

Well front bar is lifted.
I just clamped it up and welded it to the old brackets.
Easy stuff. Also put my r/f aerial down there. I thought it looked kinda cool.
Ahh I see the aerial didn't come out in the shot

Wax the bumper looks a million times better...
I'd be doing that ASAP but I'm worried because mine is a winch compatible TJM (have to buy the cradle seperately). But I don't know what the cradle looks like or how it marries with the brackets/chassis. Once I start cutting theres no turning back, I like the idea of a certified bolt-in winch frame

I'm about 90% there on pulling out the grinder because the approach is horrible. What do u think?

Yeah xactly, then stitch some brackets on where the green lines are thru the slots, based on factory brackets. Yours has lower brackets?

Well the terrano is getting stripped and it was easy to cut the front off instead of taking the motor out. So well this is the poor car now
