Replaced cluster how to match Kms?

Post by Gren »

Hey guys I've just solved most of my issues by replacing the instrument cluster in my y60 safari.... Thank god for that!
The one I've put in the Kms are about 50,000 less than what was in there prior, a little too far for my liking to just drive it back p to the right numbers so was wondering if any of you guys have got a simple way to wind on the Kms in the shed?

best bet is to just ring up and tell land transport.

only way to do it properly without potentially breaking the speedo.

i done the same thing to my terrano, got a speedo cluster with less k's on it, which worked quite well, took it to a speedo specialist down in invercargill, long story short payed money for it to break, got a new one with even less ks on it and rang them up, sent me out a new label with proper k's on it, plus what i had left to use.

glad to help, definitly way easier than trying to fiddle with the already un realiable speedo systems in these nissans.

Yeah, especially after the last couple of days I've had- was fiddling with the injector pump when the temperature gauge decided to redline while test driving it. I thought I'd messed up the fueling then I thought the the usual things like thermostat water pump engine sad etc. had a google about it and saw the clusters were less than average. Hello mr melted bits in the gauge itself!!!
Now at least I can get back to what I was doin to start with- more boost!
