off-topic, but did you always have those flares? It's on my list of things to get (from Offroad Specialities) as my tyres stick out way too much

Matte Black looks mint by the way ;)

I looked into getting wider flares, but last time we went out, a couple of the guys with them, cracked them, and ripped them off from leaning up against a bank etc.
While i, with my tires sticking out about 2", came off scott free...

hence my rubber flares... they will have some give in them next time i lean into a bank...

They were on it when i got it, Ive smacked into a few fenceposts on a mates farm in Helensville with no issues - I think they are Rugged Ridge from mem. The flat style ones with the bolt hole indents look rad compared to mine tho.

The bushwacker type pocket flares look all staunch and cool and stuff, up until the time you hit the first bank. theyre essentially plastic, and shatter. Seen it multiple times, all sho no go.

Yea i've heard that too from a lot of the guys in the states (and you xj).

Think i'll just get the standard 7" extended ones as i don't plan on keeping my tj for much longer
