80 series centre console query

Yo yo.

First, yes Ive googled.

So, the refrigerated centre console in the 80 is a bit rough and Ive got another lined up to replace it (Chur cuzzie wopwop).

Thing is that my aircons nonexistent, and hence the refrigerated box is not required, and having taken the old one out, theres a shitload of potential room there if I take the refridgeration unit out too.
So my question/s is/are: Are there non-refidgerated versions in the 80's that I could swap in giving a heap more console room? If so what year/variant? And does anyone have one?

Chur all

Tu's, tu's, tu's.....

Why the heck not says I!!!

S'pose ya want all the pipes too aye.... Far out.... Ok then. remember though, like I said, it's a bit rough (I'll flick ya a photo or two)

With one proviso...... She's on TM, ATM, finishing on Thursday, not gunna bother if she does sell, so wont do anything until Thurs aye. But she's gunna be kept and given some tlc if she doesn't sell. (Gave her a full carpet shampoo today, glued up some headlining... Picking she's staying already!)

Oh, and it best be grey aye!

Be careful how you ship it, mine has a hairline crack in the pipework in the refrigeration unit, too expensive to fix :-(

Tu's,

got the console and chiller unit out. Just lookn at the plumbing..... erm.... how much of it from under the bonnet is needed? Farked if i know, there's wiring coming from parts of the pipes there too.
I know nothing about these things, can anyone tell me exactly what needs to come out?

Also, does the non chiller version still have the full wiring loom there? Mines also got the handbrake and gear selector wiring all tied in together, and Im not really keen to go arsing about seperating it all.

Almost in the too hard basket dude.

Sorry not too sure about the wiring side of things but Im sure its easy enough to hori up  . Wirings easy  Ive had a look at the plumbing on the internets and it appears as if the fridge joins into the factory 7 seat plumbing underneath which looks easy enough to modify to work in mine. 8)

On its way Tu's.

Peter Baker has it in two boxes, one with the plumbing and the other with the console, chiller and console base. They didnt give me a tracking number as it went via their freight side of the operation rather than courier.
