Looking at upgrading the current supension on my 1988 13BT mid wheel Landcruiser and I am looking at the the Old Man Emu range.
The truck is mainly used for bashing up South Island river beds to hunt Tahr.
Would this suspension be the best option for this truck or is there something else that would be good.
Where is the best place to buy Old Man emu suspension. Can you import the parts from overseas any cheaper?
Any advice much appreciated.

Hi
I put a set of springs and shocks from ARB under my BJ73.
Was a good thing to do as it was smoother up river beds.
Peter Munroe's on 137 Blenheim road is the chch ARB agent.
Make sure to replace the bushes. You should also install anti inversion shackes or plates.
www.4wdbits.co.nz has very nice ones which are greaseable.
Or fit anti inversion plates to stop new springs inverting. ARB stock these and can weld them on.

I've got that exact setup, mwb cruiser with OME springs and shocks, but use EFS anti inversion shackles. (as sold by 4wdbits)
The ride is smooth(for a full leaf spring setup).
They have grease points to grease in between the springs and you notice the difference when you grease them.
I didn't get as much lift as i was hoping, but rides nicely.

Get the whole OME kit.. It'll be the best you can expect from leaves and would be the next best thing to coils..when greased up.. drop ya tah pressure a little and fang it up the river.. harder you go the better the ride

I know this from experience.. blah blah.. but seriously they are very good..
You can contact Bruce hughes in Winton.. he's a ARB dealer too..

Would agree Ive got same truck got the 2in lifted OME leaves 25mm extended greasable shackles and custom length shockies its a great setup suits river stuff(hunting access etc) and flexes up good too for leaves! only thing i had when i got new leaves is the drivers side is slightly stiffer sprung from new compared to the passenger side (differend part numbers also) i got the two diff spring rate originally and had to go back as the truck didnt sit level so i ended up getting a pair of the driver side setup and they have been great since!!
