I know I've picked a bit of an oddball for offroad treatment but it's what I have got!
It came with tweaked front torsion bars and helper springs in the rear and I fitted some new mudders on offset rims.
I removed the aircon and converted the compressor to pump air and fitted an air tank.
This evening l have started to fit a warn XD9000i winch, it went well and even fitted inside the original bumper after moving the oil cooler radiator.
More fitting up and wiring a second battery tomorrow.
L200 upgrades
Re: L200 upgrades
Mate looking good, love L200's
Re: L200 upgrades
Didn't get the battery done. I stripped and painted the winch and checked out the motor and gearbox.
All fitted up apart from the bash plate

looking good, i like the l200's also, sorta have a hilux look without the huge pricetag.
Re: L200 upgrades
Parts are much harder to find though, nobody makes any offroad bits for them and some driveline bits are scary expensive, $1200 for a front inner CV joint only available from MMC from Japan!
Re: L200 upgrades
i have a shitload of parts boxed up for these utes and no longer own one if your after something
Re: L200 upgrades
i know what ya mean by after market support, terranos used to be hard to find stuff for, seem to be opening up to more now though.
i suppose you dont see many of these wrecked either do you?

It's been named from it's abilities and failings on sunday. It has become the Queen Mary for it's boatlike handling, massive turning circle and it's uncanny ability to aquaplane over bogholes!
The winch works well, the bash plate is beginning to get shiny and the compressor was most welcome at the end of the day for a safer journey home

Holy crap, I don't want it to go any faster!
the only things left I want to do to it are snorkel and better lights and I'm not sure about the snorkel.
it's been in water till I got my arse wet and I don't want to go deeper than that

Oh, the r/h tail light and exhaust needs fixing after sundays playing
