My old LWB GQ had 500kms+ on it and it was fine. No smoke or any problems. As long as its looked after it's fine. The previous owner who had it for years was an engineer so maintained it pretty damn good. Only problem i had with it was alternator (had it for about a year or something - wanted a Jeep too much haha). They do last, i've heard of some in Aus passing the 1mil mark...

If you're after buyers advise have a browse through http://www.patrol4x4.com/forum/ too, purely a Safari forum so some information is a bit easier to find at times.
