more power out of 2.5 diesel turbo ford courier

has any one done any cheap simple mods to one of these engines to get more power with out going over board? I feel its gutt less in 4wd hi when off roading?

Use low range instead maybe?

used the boss's 2wd turbo diesel today, more stick than my std 2.5 non turbo, see if they have boost pressure release block that and try find the fuel screw

These things can be lifeless below 2000rpm, make sure the fuel and air filters are up to date, then get rid of the EGR system.

Fixed it...
Just have to drive them between 2000 & 3500 for best results, done lots of km in them, as soon as offroad, into lowbox as zuk said.
Just got to keep them boosting cos when they are they got heaps of grunt.

brother had a 2.5 2wd. we blocked the egr installed large front mount intercooler and played with the injector pump. uped the fuel and boost compensator. went really well after that. set the max ext temp to 700deg pre turbo. just to be safe.
