Flares- conveyor rubber or similar

Where's the best place to get rubber or conveyor matting to make flares/ line the inside of wheel arches?

R R Fisher in CHCH or Russet Engineering also in CHCH ..Both sell conveyor Belt.. Many sizes ...Rubber and PU and PVC .. 8) 8) 8) 8)

I used 8mm think conveyor belt from HCD flow technology in Hamilton that was 450mm wide dose my flears and inner gards works a treat and looks mint as well.

well use a softer rubber and thinner size
keep it deep n go hard

I have used recycled plastic garden edging from any garden centre. Comes in 15 m lengths. Easy to work with. Heat with paint stripper gun to shape. Cut with hacksaw.

This all depends on what you want your truck to look like in my opinion, just go get some conveyor belting etc. if your not to worried about an industrial appearance ( most engineering or home improvement shops have it) or if you want it to look more original spec get on the internet and buy some proper moulded flares, they arent very expensive.

Try Conveyor belt services in Chch. They sell offcuts and 2nd hand belts for beer money....... If the boys keep the workshop clean :lol:

I worked in the rubber trade for 10 years and delt with all 3 places and all will have off cuts for bear etc Eric at russet was my boss ..Knows his stuff A 8) 8)
