flushed out heater lines as heater hoses were getting hard. cleaned hoses out and removed crud that was in there. 1 heater hose is perished and so went to repco and did a search no inlet or outlet heater hoses in there stores throughout country. will have to get directly fron gates in aus. have just had rad rod n flushed to. so if anyone got heater hoses for a 91 80 series that i can buy would be great.

tried genuine? heaps of toyota stuff is soooo cheap it's ridiculous. (genuine parts in general can be surprisingly well priced.

finally done my swivel hub rebuild and swapped from lekky to manual hubs, used hubs and stubs from another cruiser. what an arse of a messy job. those axle seals were toasted so it was all goop. diff oil was lumpy. haha. all clean now. all new brakes too. just need to bleed brakes tomorrow night and it done. to get the right preload on the swivel bearings, ended up with a .10 shim on the bottom and no shim on the top. couldn't find 2x .05 shims. or anyone with any.

Gave the Lux a birthday and cleaned it  Removed door skins and lubed all window tracks and tightened bits where needed. Got a fright this morning when I looked in the drive and wondered whose the new truck was....

Made the truck lighter - burned a winch in the teams comp at Oxford so thats 40kg off the front, then went to tighten the sway bars (the bolts always work loose) but found the whole bracket had torn off this time. So stuff it, I can wobble a bit more down the road, off came both sway bars for another 20kg saving. Should get an eco friendly award now, being lighter I'll burn less diesel.
