is your safari gunna be legal doddzee? is it legal to just go boring holes through the firewall like i didnt want to go and cert that. so i did it that way....holy crap with your engine and that pipe its gonna be one noisey truck inside lol i didnt bother with a airfilter on top A: because there not going to be any dirt down it where it is and B: theres a filter in the engine bay and C: i couldn't find one for that smaller pipe.......no jerry the smell would probably be me

Yip its going to be noisy but im going to have half doors over the summer so im sure there will be louder things than the intake, e.g. the howling of 37's :)

I checked sith my certifier and he said chop away so i did, i have removed all the fan and heater stuff so there is heaps of room for a airfilter set up back there.

Na not really.

The guy i get my warrants off is fairly leniant to us for thing like mud tyres hanging 2" out of the guard as he knows we will just go home and change them to road tyres and back again, but safety and cert issues need to de done right.

If its a hole away from a major structural point then it probly wont be a problem.

do you want me to actually post the photos on outerlimits?? Pretty sure all you have to do is right click on the photo in your album, click properties. There will be a URL address I think. Highlight that and right click save. When you are in outerlimits, post message then hit the [IMG] button, paste the address, then close it by hitting the [IMG*] button again. hit the preview message and the photo should be there. Hope that isnt confusing??
Same way i post pictures on here.

He rang me and said that he had seen the light and purchased a vitara, wanted to know if I wanted to come down to have a look.

I am however taking some licence with the above statement.

Why are there concerns about smell and dust? I figure that an air intake only sucks air. What am I missing?

When the vehicle sits for a while, you can get intake fumes come back through the filter etc. Not huge amounts but possibly enough that you notice it when you get into your vehicle. Can make for exciting times if your engine backfires as well - not much of a concern for efi engines... And dont leave anythig loose in your glovebox area, like rags.....
