hi guys ,have got my tacho to work thanks to kbushnz ( big ups

).now my next problem is it needs to be calibrated ,have googled it and found lots of stuff but not much that i think is any use .I ended up putting the tacho wire from the stock LS1 comp to the wire into the tacho and it reads ,but it reads low .From what i can deduce when i,m doing 4000rpm the tacho reads 1000rpm .there must be something to fix this .Have found heaps of stuff for hilux,mr2 etc 4-6cyl, but nothing prado related .any help would be greatly appreciated cheers sig

I still have similar issues with my Tach...And my manual pump conversion..
The new pump uses a different signal as that from the electronic version.
1KZTE signal generator is different to the 2LT.
However I got a kit from Jaycar to change the signal pre ECU....
And that worked sweet...
But now I have ditched the ECU it no longer conditions the signal from the sensor thru the Jacar box and out to the Tach...
Just to clarify....
Original system
1KZTE sensor-ecu-tach
Manual Pump
2LT sensor-jaycar-ecu-tach
Manual pump no ECU
2LT sensor-jaycar-tach
Can't quite calibrate it... not sure if the factory diesel tach which was feed from the ECU is a real diesel tach or a petrol tach or something else.....dam you Toyota !
