newbie coming to wellington

Hey there everyone, I'm Vince,
My friends and I will be in Auckland for a 3 weeks. The first week will a business meeting long hours mostly. We're from Europe and when we're done with work, we just want to rent some 4WDs like wranglers and hit some tracks and get to see what New Zealand has to offer. We've booked accommodation online using http://www.trivago.co.nz so it's all setup and we're hoping you guys could give us ideas on where to go what to see and all that kind of stuff.
