Gidday,

I replaced all of the seals on my ute around 2 years ago (20,000km travelled since then) and the seals are starting to leak again. Is this normal?

When I did it, I replaced the king pin bearings, inner axle seal, and felt + rubber seals around the knuckle.

personally i think that's fine

the knuckles need a bit of grease etc

just keep an eye out of diff oil levels and top up when required

when the seals fail altogether and the oil is pouring out then just replace the inner axle seals, couple of bucks per seal,

Worth bearing in mind the axles themselves can be the problem - mine are pitted badly, causing the seals to leak even when they're brand new.

Could be worn spindle bushes. This causes the CV shaft to whirl, in turn leading to worn inner axle seals due to the 1/2 shaft whirling (not rotating around the axle's centre axis)
Did you measure these up with a micrometre and teleguage when you had it apart?

Mine have 0.020" (0.5mm) clearance. I suggest these should be around 0.002 to 0.003" though I am happy to be corrected by those who know the Toyota spec.

I have found that soaking the felt wiper in oil for a good 24 hrs prior to installation extends the life of them.
Looking at the pic, I'd say that all looks pretty normal. If your inner axle seal had gone it would be dripping diff oil. You could pull the wiper seals off and check for oil contamination . That would tell you what your inner axle seal is doing.
