Aftermarket 100A single wire alternator

Anyone used one of these before? We're looking at fitting it to a P76 in an FJ40 that currently has no loom and a 45A Lucas alternator.

I would think its more show pony stuff and probably not sealed enough for off road conditions.
Try for a Range Rover or Land Rover alternator. They are available in 100amp and used sealed bearing etc and of course should fit the P76 engine without too much bother.

nah, you don't want it for a show pony otherwise you wouldn't have asked if it was good for a 4x4 on an off road forum.

I got one of these that I fitted about 2 years ago. Has been under water a couple times and loads of mud and shit covered it and it works sweet as.

Also looking at a Bosch 140A, just need to figure out the wiring.
