Prado frnt/rear factory LOCKER PARTS NEEDED

Post by Dannz71 »

hey guys, my electric locker has packed up on me,
this is a 90s prado lj78 factor electric diff lock.
the little nylon gear inside the motor has gone brittle over the years and was all chewed out by the electric drive motor. so at the moment every time I go off road I have to climb under my truck and whip off the unit off the side of the diff and move it by hand to actuate the locker and its becoming a bit of a pain...

if anyone has a front or rear locker unit off the side or even one that has a burnt out motor it would be much appreciated,
pretty desperate to buy one before I head south in 4 weeks

Is it possible to replace the plastic gear with a metal one?

well every things possible I guess but its a pretty unique gear with a limit switch contact plate on the side so one would have to be machined I spose>toohardbasket
