need a mate rate to fix my exhaust in Chch

hi,all,just wondering if there is anyone willing to help me with my exhaust..
I got my cruiser stuck in a deep mud hole,backed up... and folded my exhaust tip around my left leaf spring,so it was facing forward...but thats fixed(sort of) now..the annoying problem I got is a crack between exhaust pipe and a resonator(see picture).I tried several times to fix it with some supercrap auto goo ,but its not holding for long.WOF's coming up so,I thought I'd better fix it once and for all..
been to some places,they of course keen to change everything and charge me heaps...i just want to :
option1.
weld the pipe back to resonator and reinforce the joint with a collar of some sort,or
option 2. -cut the resonator out and weld a piece of pipe instead..
whatever is easiest..

the cheapest I was quoted was 70 I think,but to me it more looks like a box of beers plus materials...
I'd clean the goo and get the joint ready for welding myself..

So if within next 2 weeks anyone with a welding plant in Christchurch willing to help,give me a shout pls..
