tire size discrepancy's

i know there are discrepancy's between tire size and actual size between brands in height but is there the same discrepancy with the width??

Ive found that the tyre width size has no relevacne to tread width, more to say how wide the tyre will be, when measuring the overall on the side wall. Some tyres have a very narrow tread width in relation to what the tyre manufacture say the width will be

Yes but 32's are usually 11.5" wide and 33's are usually 12.5" wide so I assume that's what he means.

32" kl71's come in 11.5" and 33" wrangler's come in 12.5" but the 32's tread is wider than the 33's

Read the manufacturers specs to see at what pressure their measurements are based on.

Are you comparing apples and apples? my 35's at 3 psi at 32" tall and are 1.5" narrower than when they inflated, but this all changes when they off the vehicle.. If you get my drift

its just im after a reasonably priced narrow 33 thought some one might shed some light on this
